Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to become supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. In this transformation, Scania Financial Services will play an important role.

Scania Financial Services, part of the Traton Financial Services Group as of April 1, 2023, is serving Scania customers, dealers and distributors in more than 60 markets through 22 business units by offering financing and insurance solutions. Our team consists of approximately 1.200 dedicated professionals around the world and together we manage a portfolio of 189.000 vehicles representing 128 BSEK of assets. We have also built up an insurance portfolio of approximately 100.000 policies.

Scania Finance Benelux consists of a team of 50 employees across the 3 operational markets who manage a portfolio of 11,000 contracts representing 670 MEUR of assets and over 18,000 insurance contracts. The FS Central Europe region, EUC, consists of a team of 270 employees across the 11 operational markets who manage a portfolio of 48,000 contracts representing 2.8BEUR of assets and 43,000 insurance contracts.

We are now looking for a Head of Front Office, Regional Commercial Coordinator, who is eager to develop our business and region further.

Your Tasks

The Head of Front Office, today reporting to the Managing director of Scania Finance Benelux, is a newly created role. You are part of the Management Team of Scania Finance Benelux, where you actively contribute to the execution of our strategy, making sure set goals and targets are being met. You take a leading position in driving the Transformation and Common Commercial Organisation.

You will work closely with the Commercial Operations team in Scania in Benelux as well as the Management teams of the operations of Scania in Benelux. In the role of Regional Commercial Coordinator you will champion Transformation and the CCO development, predominantly in the commercial arena, within the EUC region collaborating with the local Management and Commercial teams.

Key activities for the Head of Front Office are:-

  • Drive the commercial elements of CCO & Transformation within the BU
  • Establish, develop synergies and coordinate activities within the BU commercial area
  • Lead the Commercial change within the BU
  • Create and implement a digitalisation journey, including robotics, within the BU in the commercial area
  • Regional (EUC) Commercial coordination for Transformation and CCO
  • Lead Digital Gap analysis and Commercial synergy review within the EUC region
  • Identify Risks and mitigation plans within the commercial area within the EUC region
  • Cooperate with all partners and stakeholders whilst driving change

The importance of taking well-functioning and strong working relations and driving this into outstanding operational efficiency in line with the principles and three pillars of CCO cannot be overemphasized.

A clearly defined mandate will be established to give both freedom and accountability in developing the role to reach its full potential.

Your Profile

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with passion for financial services, people and business, who is eager to develop our business and organisation further in line with the CCO principles. We especially value your talent for communication, industry knowledge, leadership skills and drive. You have a proven track record of creating lasting results and build fair relationships at all levels. You work well independently but have a talent to work cross functional with many parallel projects and stakeholders at the same time. You drive performance and deliver results by using in-depth understanding of the correlation between business opportunities, processes and risk aspects. You have a genuine interest in staying close to the business, to follow-up and to take corrective measures to safe guard continuous strong performance. You have good project management experience and skills. To summarise:-

  • Experience working in a change management role
  • Strong comprehension of commercial processes
  • Ability to inspire colleagues and foster a culture of change, develop positive and compelling visions of the changes being implemented.
  • Strong communicator with ability to influence stakeholders to seek practical and collaborative solutions
  • You probably have a University education/degree and minimum ten years of relevant working experience.
  • You are driven by the Scania culture and values and have a high level of integrity.
  • You are fluent in English, while other language skills is considered as a merit.
  • Travelling within the EUC region is to be expected
