Teaching Assistant [United Kingdom]

Teaching Assistant Needed

I work with a great Primary School located in Gloucester who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them in September! The school is lovely, located just out of the centre of Gloucester. It has a beautiful old Victorian building and is a long-standing school, where they really focus on encouraging staff to be vocal and voice their opinions on ways to improve things! Staff are committed and welcoming to new starters.

The school would really like someone to join them for the next academic year, and it will be on a full time basis, the hours for this on a day to day being 8:45-3:15 The role would begin September 4th and run until July 2024. The position entails working 1:1 with an EHCP student and so experience with SEN is essential for this role. You must also be a qualified Teaching Assistant. You must be motivated and be able to demonstrate a desire to raise standards.

What will you be doing on a day to day basis?

  • Support and aid the Teacher with the lesson plan.
  • To supervise students throughout break times/lunch
  • To complete intervention sessions where needed
  • To help students with reading/phonics

What does the school strive for?

“We provide a stimulating and caring environment where children can thrive intellectually, emotionally and socially. We strive to make learning a challenging and enjoyable experience, inspiring children to achieve their potential. We want children to be excited and curious about the world around them and to be eager to learn”.
