The Group Director of IT Applications will be reporting to the Managing Director of FRS Makkah Complex.
Main Responsibilities:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to colleagues and guests
- Lead the hotel’s day-to-day IT activity ensuring all standards are followed
- Comply with the company’s IT Security Policy as it pertains to hardware, software, security/data safety
- Ensure cyber security of all hotel data
- Establish hardware maintenance programs, establish and able to apply procedures in case of system interruptions; ensure security of data storage, data protection and be able to conduct training of user equipment where required.
- Provide a high level of operational stability for property technology
- Maintain and promote core technology standards and maintain best practices with respect to Property systems
- Ensure that Technology Policies and Procedures are carried out. These are outlined in the Systems Manager User Guide
- Attracting local talents and setting a development plan for them.
- Oversee the hotels Technology Services team from managerial and developmental aspects and provide guidance to ensure all technology based questions can be answered promptly
- Lead technology projects that involve numerous stakeholders
- Provide twenty-four-hour support for mission critical systems as documented in the service escalation document
- Effectively communicate with hotel team and regional team on technology related plans, actions, and decisions.
- Attend operational meetings to ensure communication flow
- Implement and maintain backup and emergency procedures to always ensure integrity of programs and data
- Manage relationships with internal (hotel & corporate) and external (vendors) stakeholders
- Review Maintenance contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Planning and implementation of applications and systems infrastructure with focus on future business needs and profitability
- Contribute to Technology Services knowledge base
- Assist in developing and maintaining a Disaster Recovery Process
- Be fiscally responsible by adhering to set budgetary guidelines
- Provide point of escalation support to Technology team
- Follow internal policies and procedures
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Educational background in IT or related field.
- Minimum 5-years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an international luxury hotel brand.
- Strategic thinker, results driven, process oriented, and attentive to details.
- Able to inspire and motivate a team, providing clear direction, development and guidance to achieve revenue goals.
- Change instigator, positive influencer, strong communicator, and a team collaborator.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs.
- Able to build and develop relationships with the business partners, and intermediaries.
- Able to establish strong rapport with the key stakeholders to ensure there is alignment on strategic direction of the hotels.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Adaptable, self-motivating individual with ability to bring others along the journey.
- Strong decision-making skills, calm under pressure and able to prioritize workflows.
