Duties

Immediately responsible to effectively and safely operate a Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) as part of the Marine Security Guard (MSG) transportation needs. During offense/defense responses, required to maintain the security of the U.S. Mission in Mumbai, India. The incumbent will provide knowledgeable and responsive tactics, techniques and procedures in the operation of vehicles when transporting personnel and or equipment. Personnel may include MSG’s assigned to the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai, VIPs from Marine Corps, Consulate Security Group Headquarters, Region Headquarters, Department of Defense, Diplomatic Security, Regional Security Office personnel and/or other government agency personnel as required and directed. Responsible for the personal safety of passengers to and from official meetings, events and functions that support the MSG Detachment. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring 100% readiness of multiple vehicles assigned to the MSG Detachment and provides 24 hour response capability as deemed necessary. Additionally, incumbent will be required to assist in the loading/unloading, transport and delivery of cargo, equipment and support items necessary for the operation of the MSG detachment.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Must have three years of driving experience with a reputed organization. (Please describe your previous and current job responsibilities in detail.)


Key Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School (Class X) is required.
  • Must have three years of driving experience with a reputed organization.
  • English and Hindi/Marathi language is required. (See Language section)
  • Must have a LMV and HMV driving license.
  • Please attach all required documents to avoid automatic disqualification.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School (Class X) is required. (Please specify the name of the Certificate/Degree/Diploma course and the major subjects for each qualification you possess.)

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge (speaking and reading) of English is required. Good working knowledge (speaking) in Hindi/Marathi is required. This may be tested. (Please specify in your application your level of proficiency in each language listed here.)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have a current driver’s license for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV). (Please attach a copy of valid Indian driving license along with all the mandatory/required documents. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted. U.S. Government regulations require all Chauffeurs or Incidental drivers for official vehicles to be 25 years of age or older. We will not consider candidates below 25 years of age.)

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
