NxGen are currently recruiting for an Assistant Director – Highways and Waste, on an initial 3 month interim contract.
Assistant Director – Highways & Waste

The successful candidate will have previous experience as an Assistant Director / Head of within the Highways or Waste directorate and will have experience in the strategic management of large scale contracts. Within the role you will be responsible for the leadership, development and implementation of relevant strategies including integrated transport and sustainable waste strategies, the strategic transport planning and delivery of the Transport Strategy with focus on decarbonisation and sustainability agenda and work to agree and progress the completion of the procurement and implementation of a new Highways contract.

- Accountable for the delivery of the Corporate Plan and Vision.
- Accountable for integrated transport and Waste strategy.
- Accountable for the management of budgets and delivery of the MTFP within area of responsibility. Accountable for effectively managing and implementing significant change, transformation, and improvements to services.
