RF Desense Engineer, Fitbit [Taiwan]

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with RF desense and bringing consumer-oriented products to production.
  • Experience working in a lab environment, using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, callbox.
  • Experience in debugging, failure analysis, and validation design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in wireless (e.g., cellular, WIFI, BT, GPS, UWB) product design from concept to production.
  • Experience with RF simulation tools, ADS, or AWR Microwave Office.
  • Experience with coexistence validation and desense mitigation.
  • Experience with 3D solvers such as HFSS or CST.
  • Experience tweaking existing test automation software, written in Python and/or LabVIEW.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering teams to debug RF desense issues and optimize performance.
  • Manage electromagnetics simulation for performance prediction, debug or early detect desense issues.
  • Review schematic, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and system grounding plan, to guarantee proper design with particular emphasis on signal integrity and desense mitigation.
  • Define and develop validation for evaluating desense performance and debug.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing test groups RF team on production test fixtures to ensure desense test coverage.
