Continuous Improvement Analyst Latin America [Mexico]


 

You will use cutting edge technology to transform data into information for analysis in a user-friendly format. You will search out critical data for better definition, conduct analysis with current quantitative techniques, and provide recommendations to enable Flow Controls to better understand its business and market.

In this role, you will work with professionals throughout the organization in a collaborative setting to solve business needs across Latin America.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:

Candidate will perform these functions on a consistent basis (who they are now)

  • Analyze customer, market, and internal data to identify performance gaps/opportunities for specific markets and products segments
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data turning it into usable information that can be interpreted into business intelligence
  • Work with cross-functional teams s to identify order growth and/or profitability improvement opportunities
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data turning it into usable information that can be interpreted into business intelligence
  • Enable Continuous Improvement events through data and process support
  • Ensure the on-going monitoring of Service Level Performance within Flow Controls
  • Effectively communicate a problem statement and solution, supported by data
  • Building Effective teams across a matrixed organization and collaborate with a variety of sake holders
  • A self-starter who can move projects forward without immediate guidance from management

Candidate with the ability to (who they will become)

  • Complete a training and certification program to improve the organizational awareness of tools and process improvement techniques
  • Map information and process flows with the goal of streamlining processes across the value chain
  • Create and drive the use of new methods and tools for looking at evaluating customer experience including service levels as well as operational efficiencies to gain insight into the business and opportunities
  • Collaborate with experts within Flow Controls and the larger Emerson organization as well as externally to continuously improve processes, best practices, and tools
  • Contribute to a community of Continuous Improvement practitioners to collaborate and support the goals of Latin America Flow Controls
  • Develops alternative approaches and ideas to a problem set while timely resolving issues

Other initiatives and responsibilities as assigned.

Professional Degree Requirements (i.e., Engineering, Business Admin, etc.):

  • Mathematics, IT, Business Bachelor and/or Engineering career (industrial, chemical, etc.)

Experience Requirements (Years / Type of prior responsibilities or experience / Industry, etc.) :

  • 3-4 years purchasing experience for externals, 1-2 years OA experience for internals
  • 2 years of experience in Flow Controls business, products, and market understanding
  • 2 years of experience on business metrics analysis
  • Lean certification (Preferred)
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Critical thinker with a passion for solving problems.

Technical Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to present complex concepts in clear concise messages tailored to all levels of the organization (written and verbal)
  • Applied knowledge of Lean and Project Management methodologies
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet various deadlines
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, R, Python
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Experience leading a significant change effort
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
